Hand-dyed silk wrapped journals from Jaipur-based French designer Thierry Journo.
On my first trip to India over a decade ago, I purchased one of these journals at Thierry's lively boutique. For the trip's duration (and long after), I jotted copious notes—where I roamed, ate, shopped and so on—and tucked it into my purse to have at the ready. Today that same journal rarely leaves my bag and I revert to it often for clarity on this or that. I recently pulled it out and discovered I had finally filled the last page. I begged Thierry to make a handful for our shop, and they are now some of my favorite—and happiest—little offerings!
