A stunning strand of powder glass beads, handcrafted by the Krobo people of Ghana. Inspired by traditional Venetian trade beads, each bead is made from recycled glass that is ground into a fine powder, poured into molds, and fired to create its distinctive elbow shape.
The designs are then decorated by hand with colored glass powder, carefully applied using a thin wooden stalk before being fired a second time to set the intricate patterns.
Each bead is made entirely by hand, giving every strand its own variations and character. No two are exactly alike.
